Hi, I’m Emily Ehrens.

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Emily, a trusted psychotherapist in Los Angeles providing client centered therapy through online sessions.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a specialization in mental health, dual diagnosis and addiction counseling working with adolescents, young adults and adults. I integrate best practices including modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Informed Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused therapy and Brief psychotherapy. My goal is to reconnect individuals to their values and guide the way for self-acceptance and permission to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

I am passionate about being an agent of change for my clients utilizing empathetic listening, warmth and a collective strength to find meaning in our struggles and pain. I apply a strengths based approach surrounding individual needs and goals. I tailors my work to encompass a supportive environment to restore, heal, and explore acceptance.

EDUCATION

I attended Indiana University where I received my bachelors in Social Work and Loyola University of Chicago where I completed my masters with a concentration in mental health. After fulfilling my clinical practicum in inpatient settings and at intensive outpatient sites, my training to become a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) has given me a special lens on addiction, coping strategies and behavioral therapies.
